Letters

Dearest,
The WW2 Letters of Private Melvin W. Johnson -READ VMAIL I am in a different place since I last wrote, but am in the same country yet. I have seen some places of historical interest of late - old fort, castles, manor houses, etc. Also some very beautiful scenic places. Would be a great place for a vacation, but our stay here is hardly that. Am getting along as well as could be expected. Some things, especially candy, cookies, and other foods, are rationed very closely here. So can always well use any food items sent this way. I can get all the cigarettes I want though; at about 6 (cents) a package. Hurry up and write. Hope everything is well at home. I miss you and the baby very much.
Love, Melvin
