Dearest,
The WW2 Letters of Private Melvin W. Johnson -READ VMAIL If letters make you happier, then this should help a little. Meant to write Evelyn, but then realized I had lost her address. You might write her for me. Tell her my new address, since I only recently received her last letter in which the old address was used. By the way, you might send Evelyn a picture or two of the baby. Also to Gus, Margaret, and Dad. There's little more I can write now. I'm all right, feeling fine - but anxious for the war to end. One of my favorite dreams: Eating breakfast with you - a breakfast of pancakes, bacon, butter, syrup - and real honest-to-goodness coffee.
Love, Melvin
