Letters

25 September 1944

Somewhere in France,
Dearest,
The WW2 Letters of Private Melvin W. Johnson -READ VMAIL Received your Sept. letter, #3 and 4. Also a letter from Marie & Jess. Don't recall getting your Sept. letter #2 yet. Will get that letter off to Gus soon. We've seen some rough times since I last wrote. I'm all right - don't be worried. Did I tell you that that picture is beautiful? You look lovely and the child is an angel. We've had some wet cold weather of late. Considered ourselves lucky to sleep in a stable one night. But we're getting along O.K. Can't think of much more to write, except that it shouldn't be too far distant the day I can see you again.
Love, Melvin
